Differences with GAE (General American English) will be pointed out as they arise in context.

Objectifs

Improve production and perception of distintcive features of spoken English, aiming for native-like pronunciation. The target model may be either SSBE or GAE.

Start to acquire skills in broad transcription. Students will be able to recognize and write most of the symbols of SSBE in broad transcription.
