Civilisation anglophone (CIVI201_ANG)
Présentation
This course provides an overview of the United Kingdom today and explores, from a historical perspective, the politics, culture and society of the four nations that comprise the United Kingdom. It will consider key moments in British history, to explain how the country's social and political landscape has evolved over time and with what consequences for contemporary Britain.
Objectifs
- Maîtriser les dates et évènements importants qui ont marqué l'histoire du Royaume-Uni (des Celtes à nos jours), et notamment de ses institutions (Parlement, Monarchie, Religion, etc.)
- Maîtriser le vocabulaire spécifique à la civilisation, à l'écrit et à l'oral.
- Être capable de comprendre et d'analyser un texte de civilisation (commentaire de texte guidé avec des questions).
- Être capable de soulever une problématique, de rédiger une introduction et une conclusion (commentaire de texte).
- Être capable de faire la synthèse d'un document vidéo.
