Objectifs


Major intended learning outcomes

This course explores the deployment and impact of renewable energy technologies in developing countries. It focuses on the unique challenges and opportunities these countries face in transitioning to renewable energy systems, including technological, financial, social, and policy aspects. 

By the end of this course, students will be able to: 

  • Understand the specific energy needs and challenges faced by developing countries. 
  • Analyze various renewable energy technologies and their suitability for different regions and contexts. 
  • Evaluate the socio-economic impacts of renewable energy projects in developing communities. 
  • Develop strategic plans for implementing renewable energy projects that are sustainable and socially inclusive. 
  • Critically assess policies and regulations that support or hinder renewable energy adoption in developing countries. 


Correspondence between major intended learning outcomes and assessment:

Grades will be based on a combination of group projects, participation in discussions, and oral exam.
